Alocasia, also known as Elephant Ear, are widely popular for their giant, exotic heart-shaped leaves that thrive in bright, indirect light. During Maryland’s summertime, they made great eye-catching shade plants in container gardens. Their varieties range from stripes, polka dot, velvet, glossy, and veiny leaves. They love humidity and regular watering!

Best to keep away from pets.

Light:

Bright to moderate light. Direct sun for a couple hours is okay, but ideally morning or filtered.

Water:

Allow top of soil to dry slightly and then water thoroughly.
