Aloe

Aloe Vera

Aloe is a succulent species native to the Arabian peninsula. It grows in hot, dry climates but can also be found in tropical climates around the world. Used widely for skin care and health aid. It’s an excellent air purifier and pet friendly.

It is known for growing rapidly and being top heavy, so stakes or props might be necessary as it matures. Like any succulent, the root system remains fairly small while the top can grow ten fold, so it doesn’t always need a re-pot!

Light:

Bright indirect to moderate light. It can tolerate direct light but too intense of sunlight can cause browning on the leaves.

Water:

Allow soil to dry completely then water thoroughly. It stores water in its stems, so if they are not plump then it likely needs watering.

Varieties:

Lace, Cape, Spiral, artistata, variegata, Blizzard, Blue Elf, and more.
