Bonsai

Bonsai’s are known for being a Japanese tradition of maintaining and regularly pruning miniature trees of Ficus, juniper, and more. It is a longstanding ancient practice meant to serve as a creation of a miniature landscape, invoking a sense of care and calmness.

The act of ‘bonsai’ is found in snipping and training the trees to a desired shape, as well a the roots and maintaining a compact space within the pot. The types can range from low-light loving to bright, direct light, which all depends on the kind of plant within.

Typically we carry indirect light to bright light loving plants of Ficus, juniper, Pachira, and palms.

Light:

Bright light, ideally with some daily direct light depending on the kind of plant. Junipers and Ficus would like direct, but Pachira (money trees) prefer indirect.

Water:

Allow soil to dry slightly in between waterings, then water well.
