Fern

Tracheophyta

The ultimate Feng Shui houseplant. Ferns are excellent air purifiers and add wonderful greenery to every home. Ferns can be found all over the world, and many are native to Maryland, such as the Chrismas Fern Lady Fern, and Cinnamon Fern. All fern variants prefer shady, filtered light with high humidity and consistently moist soil, but there are a few that tend to be more tolerant of neglect.

Pet friendly, the more fronds, the more water that is needed. Most ferns don’t want to dry out as once they dehydrate along their leaves/stems, they won’t perk back up. Best to prune dry/leggy fronds.
