Neanthe Bella Palm

Palms

Arecaceae

Palms stretch from full sun outdoors to lower light indoors, and they are one of the most versatile houseplants in that regard. Not all palms can exist indoors, but the selection is still wide.

Palms like Neanthe Bella, Areca, Bamboo, Rhapsis, and Cataractum are pet-friendly and like to dry slightly in between watering. Neanthe Bella is a typical suggestion for lower-light loving palms, adding bushy greenery to east or north-facing rooms. Most other palms require bright indirect light to see them at their full potential.

All palms love moisture and humidity but don’t want to be overwatered. Let the top inch of the soil dry before soaking thoroughly.

The Ponytail Palm isn’t technically part of the palm family, but is regarding as pet friendly. Be sure to let this one dry out more in between waterings.

Be mindful, that some palms, like the cardboard palm and sago palm, are not pet-friendly.
