Spider Plant

Chlorophytum comosum

Spider plants get their name from the spikey legs of the plant, which resemble long-limbed spiders. They are a great option for a small, low-light, and drought-tolerant plant.

Native to Central and Southern Africa, Spider Plants can be grown as a low-light houseplant or an outdoor shade-loving annual during the summertime. When they are happy, they sprout babies that can be cut off and planted. Spider Plants are also pet-friendly.
